Position Summary

The Litigation Coordinator serves as the bridge between Claims staff and Defense Counsel, ensuring lawsuits, legal deadlines, attorney communications, and litigation-related activities are properly managed and tracked. This role supports the litigation process but does not adjust claims.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Receive, log, and track new lawsuits and service of process.
  • Assign defense counsel according to company guidelines.
  • Monitor court deadlines, litigation milestones, and attorney communications.
  • Follow up with adjusters, supervisors, and attorneys to ensure timely action on litigated files.
  • Maintain litigation reports, dashboards, and the company’s Red Flag tracking spreadsheet.
  • Monitor legal invoices and litigation budgets.
  • Escalate urgent issues, including time-limit demands, default judgment risks, and missed deadlines.
  • Ensure insureds receive timely responses regarding defense requests and litigation matters.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between Claims staff and Defense Counsel.
Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in insurance claims, litigation support, legal administration, or a related field.
  • Must contain an active All Lines, Limited Lines, or Property & Casualty Adjuster License.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience working with attorneys, legal documents, or insurance litigation preferred.
  • Experience as a Bodily Injury Adjuster
  • THIS IS AN IN-PERSON POSITION LOCATED IN HOUSTON, TX NEAR THE GALLERIA AREA.
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
