Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Bilingual Underwriter to evaluate insurance applications, assess risk, and determine appropriate coverage terms and premiums. The ideal candidate will use sound judgment, strong communication skills, and industry knowledge to support both English- and Spanish-speaking clients while ensuring company guidelines and profitability standards are met.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Bilingual Underwriter to evaluate insurance applications, assess risk, and determine appropriate coverage terms and premiums. The ideal candidate will use sound judgment, strong communication skills, and industry knowledge to support both English- and Spanish-speaking clients while ensuring company guidelines and profitability standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate insurance applications, proposals, and supporting documentation
- Assess and analyze client risk factors, background information, and loss history
- Determine coverage terms, conditions, and appropriate premium pricing
- Calculate risk exposure using underwriting guidelines, tools, and industry best practices
- Review claims history and policy terms to support underwriting decisions
- Communicate clearly with agents, brokers, and clients in both English and Spanish
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and underwriting standards
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to stay current with industry trends and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Prior underwriting or insurance experience preferred

- Office/In Person
Compensation: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
